Magic 2011 Launch Party – July 16th through the 18th!

Magic 2011 releases this Friday, July 16th, and we’re celebrating all weekend long.
We’ll be running M11 drafts on Friday from noon until 3 pm, then we’ll start again after the second round of FNM and go all night long. Registration for the Sealed tournament on Saturday will start at 9am and gameplay will begin at 10. It’s $20 to play, and everyone gets a free slice of pizza and a drink, plus an alternate art Ancient Hellkite promo (while supplies last). Drafts will start again after the sealed tournament as well as all day Sunday.
As an added bonus, if you’re among the first 20 customers to come pick up their box of M11 from the store, you’ll receive a foil, alternate art Birds of Paradise! You can pre-order your box online but you must select “Store Pick-Up” in order to be eligible. Supplies are limited, so be sure to get here early.
Remember that M11 will be standard legal as of July 16th, so this week’s FNM will be the first place to rock out your new cards. Tell some friends and get ready to have a blast – see you here!
Magic 2011 Prerelease Events – July 10 and 11
Join us next weekend as we celebrate the upcoming release of Magic 2011!
Registration on Saturday begins at 12 and the sealed tournament starts at 1pm. It’ll be $25 to enter and everyone gets 6 packs of M11 plus a promo Sun Titan card (while supplies last)! We’ll also be running another $25 sealed tournament on Sunday (pending product availability), with registration at 12 and start time at 1pm, as well as $10 drafts after the tournament.
We are cancelling our Sunday, July 11th, Pre-Release events, we have run out of product and are not permitted to use any more.
There’s a free slice of pizza and a drink for everyone who plays, so tell some friends and get ready to experience the new Core Set for Magic. See you here!
NEW Extended 1K Magic Tournament – Saturday, July 3rd

Join us Saturday, July 3rd for our first Extended tournament under the new rules! Get your play-test groups ready, though, because there are $1,000 on the line. The tournament starts at 1 pm with registration opening at noon, and it’s $20 to play. Ben McDole will be our head judge.
The payout will be $300 for first place, $200 for second, $150 for third and fourth, and $50 for fifth through eighth. The new format will allow everything from Time Spiral through Rise of the Eldrazi, as well as 10th Edition and Magic 2010. For more information you can check out the new rules changes here.
As always we’ll have free pizza and a soda for everyone, plus door prizes including a Promo Cryptic Command, Promo Bloodbraid Elf, and many more! So mark you calendar and tell some friends – we’ll see you here.
New Friday Night Magic Lineup for June!

Starting in June CoolStuffGames will be running 2 FNMs each week! The 1st tournament will start at 6pm and consist of an 8 person+ draft with swiss rounds. There’s a $10.00 entry and FNM promos will be awarded along with the normal pack payout.
Then at 7pm we’ll start out Standard tournament, which is sure to get more exciting once M11 release on the 16th.
This month’s FNM promo is Anathemancer. There’s something for everyone going on Friday night in June, so spread the word and come down to battle!
Archenemy Multiplayer Release – This Saturday!

Come down this Saturday, June 19th for our Archenemy release event! Registration starts at noon with game play beginning at 1pm. It’s $25 per player and includes 1 of the Archenemy decks.
Players will receive a “Plot That Spans the Centuries” scheme (while supplies last), plus a slice pizza and a drink. Booster pack prizes will be awarded based on attendance. Get ready to battle!

Starting tonight CoolStuffGames will be running 3 FNMs each week! The 1st tournament will start at 6pm and consist of an 8 person+ draft with swiss rounds. There’s a $10.00 entry and FNM promos will be awarded along with the normal pack payout.
The 2nd tournament will be our regular FNM but the start time to will change to 7:00 P.M. The entry fee will still be only $6.00.
The 3rd tournament will be another draft with the same format as the first and will start after the second round of the Standard 7pm tournament.
There’s something for everyone going on Friday night in June, so spread the word and come down to battle!
